CWU Southwest Regional Coordinator

The Regional Coordinator enhances the work of the national movement by supporting national officers, other board members, executive staff and state units.  Regional Coordinators provide timely follow-up and liaison support to reinforce the program services, processes, action and advocacy of the National Movement.

The Regional Coordinator:

  •  Serves on the Board of Directors
  •  Serves a coordinative function for the Movement with the State/Region Presidents
  •  Disseminates information from the National Office in New York City, NY including policies and programs
  • Supports the implementation of national programs: i.e., International Least Coin Program, Nickels for National
  • Assists State Units in ecumenical development, leadership training, and interpretation of the CWU mission, common goals, and quadrennial priority
  • Monitors each unit in the Southwest Region to assure their activities are within the parameters set by the CWU mission statement by obtaining information of their programs, meeting schedules, retreats, topics for retreats and budgets, and the lists of elected officers after each election
  •  Coordinates a Regional Event at the mid-point of the Quadrennium. These Regional Events are programmatic and not legislative.
